Chocolate Souffle

I have never made a souffle before actually I have never even eaten a souffle before. For the Daring Cooks Challenge I was given a few recipes to choose from or I could even find my own recipe but the hubby and the little boy both voted for the chocolate. I I spent one afternoon baking chocolate souffle's while the hubby was at a football game and the six year old was running around bouncing off the furniture.

With no real basis for comparison I think that they worked out pretty well. They didn't rise evenly but they were light, airy, delicious and of course sexy.

Little Havana & AVAM

I recently had relatives that came to visit us here in Baltimore but didn't have too much time available to spend with me and you know that whatever we did together would have to involve food!

I took them to the American Visionary Art Museum which is an amazing non-traditional museum. We spent all morning there looking around and after we went to Little Havana for some lunch.

OK so you all watch Jersey Shore or Jerseylicous...I watch Bitchin' Kitchen. I love how her kitchen matches her outfits...and the food always looks easy and interesting.

I have never wanted to make Puttanesca before (anchovies yuck) but at the end of the episode I had to try it.

Thrasher's Fries

We went to Ocean City for a weekend in October...yes it's a bit too cold to go swimming in the Ocean this time of year but it is still a great time to go.



Maybe the rides aren't running but you still have clear beaches...


And there is room to sit down and people watch (you know the few people on the boardwalk).



It's not to hot and it's not too crowded...unless you go to Thrasher's.

Yes, this is the line for Thrasher's fries in OCTOBER! This is why the boarwalk and beaches are clear everyone is in line for fries.

As you slowly inch your way closer to the front you are thankful for the heat they generate in there but when you actually get up there it's almost hot enough to say forget it after waiting almost 40 minutes...


Almost that hot but not quite. I do love me some fried salty potatoes. But just imagine it in the summer time...
